How to Find The Right Golf Fitness Information Without Spending Hours on Google

The Tiger Woods area brought a whole new level of focus on how important fitness is in the world of golf.

We still have a long way to go to bring the right knowledge to the mainstream though.

The issues is that like much of the rest of the golf industry, there is a ton of information out there.

Much of it conflicting, scattered and confusing.

Do a quick search for the best golf core exercises or how to warm up for golf and you’ll find pages and pages of information from different sources.

Who can you trust and how do you skip the constant searches on Google for the right information?

The following three sites are leading the way in the golf exercise industry.

They have a wealth of experience and experts leading the charge to give you the best information so you don’t have to spend hours searching for it.

MyTPI.com

The Titiliest Performance Institute has the ultimate collection of golf fitness Articles , Drills and Exercises.

TPI is widely known in the industry for its Golf Fitness Certification and as the go-to resource for golfers and golf fitness trainers alike. They offer golf fitness trainers a Level 1 Certification and 5 different advanced certification routes.

TPI has some impressive statistics to back up their golf fitness information:

  • 25 of the top 30 golfers in the world are advised by a TPI Certified Professional.
  • 18 of the last 20 majors were won by players advised by a TPI Certified Professional.
  • 52 of the last 63 PGA Tour Events were won by players advised by a TPI Certified Professional.

The Golf Channel

The Golf Channel has helped lead the charge since the early days in the golf fitness world. It was one of the first to recognize the importance of golf fitness by airing episodes of TPI’s Golf Fitness Academy.

The fitness tips page from the Golf Channel offers a blend of informative golf exercise videos and articles. This includes not only the top golf fitness professionals but also the top golfers in the world. A quick search will find warm ups and exercise tips from Dustin Johnson and Justin Rose.

Revolution Golf Fitness

Revolution Golf , associated with the Golf Channel Network, brings its own wealth of golf fitness knowledge. Don Saladino, the owner of Drive 495 in New York City, leads the charge with many of the videos. Saladino is widely regarded for his fitness knowledge and its application to golf-specific training.

The only caveat is that Revolution will cost you $49 for the year for their golf fitness information.

Where to Go From Here

All three sites above have valuable information on golf fitness and exercise. I’d especially recommend spending time on the MyTPI site as they are the preeminent resource for golf fitness.

The issue with the amount of time you spend on TPI or elsewhere is what you come away with?

Do you come away with a collection of exercises and tips?

Or do you come away with a clear cut program you can implement?

If you are only looking for exercises and tips to add to your current golf fitness program then the above sites are a great resource. Keep heading back to them over and over.

However, if you are looking for a golf fitness program, and we all should have one, then I recommend investing money in a golf fitness trainer in your area to implement one for you. You can have the best of both worlds by finding one who is TPI Certified.

If you don’t have the money to spend on a golf fitness trainer then another great idea is an online golf fitness program from a TPI Certified professional.

One of the best I’ve seen out there is from Stephen Ladd who is a Level 3 TPI Fitness Coach. In his program, Ladd implements all the personal training and fitness skills that TPI has to offer.

In addition Ladd is also a Level 2 TPI Power Coach which is a certification dedicated to improving your overall power and distance.

One on one instruction is always the best, but it could also be hard to find a professional with the qualifications that Ladd has at that cheap of a price.
